Over the past weeks, Juba Foundation, with funding support from ShelterBox through the Climate Crisis and Conflict Response Project, completed the distribution of essential Non-Food Item (NFI) kits to displaced families living in some Internally Displaced People in Baidoa.

The families who received the NFI kits are among those benefiting from the project’s shelter intervention. Each household received essential items including blankets, mosquito nets, sleeping mats, kitchen sets, and solar lights to help meet their daily needs and improve living conditions.

The project has already delivered 300 upgradeable shelters for families displaced by conflict and recurrent drought, while construction of an additional 200 shelters is ongoing. By combining safe shelter with essential household items, the project is helping vulnerable families recover with greater dignity, protection, and resilience.

Support will continue in the coming weeks, with three additional IDP camps scheduled to receive assistance under the project.
