After years of displacement and uncertainty, hundreds of families in Camp Towfiiq were once again facing eviction—until hope arrived.

Through tireless advocacy and community-led negotiation, Juba Foundation, under the Danwadaag Consortium and with support from FCDO, secured 20-year land tenure agreements for 481 vulnerable individuals on public land named Bulsho. For the first time in years, families could sleep without fear of being uprooted.

This wasn’t just about land—it was about dignity, protection, and the beginning of a new chapter. With the collaboration of JUCRI and Bardheere authorities, disputes were resolved, and a foundation was laid for safe, lawful, and dignified resettlement. Our story in Bardheere proves what’s possible when legal protection meets local leadership—and when our donors believe in long-term change.
